hi there!
this is ao3 user intimacies, and firstly: thank you for writing for me this exchange, dear stranger! i admittedly have a tendency to ramble, but i'll do my best to keep this letter short & sweet.
for ease of reference, i'll list some general things i enjoy receiving, as well things i'd prefer not to receive, and then some fandom-specific thoughts or prompts, if you find that sort of thing helpful; no pressure to adhere to any of my prompts, though--so long as there aren't any of my Do Not Wants, feel free to go wild! the most important thing to me is that you have fun with whatever you choose to write, and if you have fun then i'm sure i'll enjoy it, too c:
so let's get into it!
general likes & loves:
requested fandoms & relationships:
1. ballroom e youkoso
it's both saddening & fascinating to consider what might've happened if they'd communicated their wishes a little clearer, or how they'd interact should their paths converge again in the near or distant future, away from the context of dance. or even the possibilities of their relationship in an alternate universe, and whether the cards would sway the same or hold their place.
2. birdmen
karasuma is pragmatic and cynical yet somehow above all desperate to make--not friends, exactly--but connections with others, the kind of intimacy with someone that is more meaningful than a surface schoolmate dynamic. meanwhile, takayama is an enigma to karasuma in the way he feels this need to save as many people as he can, while retaining a degree of distance from the world. kind towards, but not one with everyone else.
anything that explores their strange hyperawareness of each other would be especially lovely!!
3. yuri on ice
just?? the way yuri's persona is built as someone who is ambitious and skilled, confident and self-aware but despite that, performs his best when he's thinking about other people, or if it's for someone else's sake: he started skating professionally to financially support his family; lilia mentioning his agape routine shows yuri's dicovery of what kinds of love can sustain a person. i love the conflict between what he says or does and what he means, the tiny discord meant to keep others from his inner thoughts...
i'm really curious about what goes down post-episode 12, and how yuuri's decision not to retire & victor's decision to return to competitive skating (with both of them subsequently moving to st. petersburg) might affect the status quo of yuri's life, in the public & personal spheres!
with respect to lilia/minako: i can't stop thinking about how they're both probably around the same age, and were probably active and dancing at around the same time, too. what would their interactions have been like, back then? how would they interact now, as people who once roamed the same circles, and even today have rather similar roles as ballet dancers to successful figure skaters.
the effects of distance & time & similar steps in life, and how those ripples would show is something i'd be really, really interested to see c:
4. daiya no ace
ah, where even to begin? kuramochi & miyuki's dynamic is by far my favourite in all of daiya: the way two people deal with similar issues in different ways (exclusion in middle school due to talent & passion / stepping away from the idea of emotional closeness v. taking care of others in order to forego attention to one's personal thoughts & space) not only get slotted together in the same team & class by the powers that be but also just. continue that proximity to each other, even when it's not enforced ("they're always together, don't they have any other friends?").
i love that, for all his posturing & teasing, kuramochi knows miyuki pretty well, and that miyuki lets him, even commenting that kuramochi is surprisingly good at looking out for others. they play off of each other so easily, and it's so intriguing thinking about the disconnect between their interactions & their emotions, and how that develops over time, if they grow together or apart, still held together by that thread of shared affinities, & 3 years spent learning how to act around each other, if not precisely learning the other themself, as honest as it can be.
i realise i've just been.....rambling, i'm sorry, but i really don't have any specific prompts for these two. their dynamic floats itself, and i love seeing it in any & every time, world or place c:
5. sangatsu no lion | march comes in like a lion
the parallels between rei & souya are only briefly touched upon for a few chapters in the manga, but the synergy between the two of them when they played shogi & how that translates (or doesn't) away from the game is fascinating to think about! especially when the people around them note them as similar in their effect on their surroundings & the people around them, if not quite in their demeanour and mannerisms.
on the other hand, i love the warmth and awkward-yet-sincere caretaking in rei & hina's relationship! they care about each other a lot and always try their best to show that care, and the developing depth of their feelings for each other as well as the lengths they'd go for the other because of it is such an uplifting, endearing thing to behold c: feel free to include any of the other kawamoto family members, too--their dynamic is as much a shared bond with the rest of that family as it is also evolving into a similar-but-different bond with just the two of them!

general likes & loves:
- introspection, character and/or relationship studies
- canon-verse fic: from pre- or -post canon, to the canon-divergent, or even the 'missing scenes'-style of things
- found family; caretaking
- playing around with the idea of dreams, or time
- experimental narrative styles & structures
- flowers! i love flower anything, from the imagery to the flower language to simply the flowers themselves
- ambiguous/open endings ouo
- i......have a thing for hands. i just, really like hands LMAO
- unless otherwise stated, i don't mind relationships as either romantic or platonic or anything in between!
- angst for the sake of angst. i don't mind if things get sad, just please don't kill someone off or write in anything drastic for the sake of the ~angst~ factor
- jealousy and/or infidelity as a plot device
- porn without plot. porn is fine if you wanted to include it, but i'd rather it not be the entirety of a thing
- i love AU's, so please don't feel obliged to stick to canon if you'd rather not c:
- if you do go for an AU, i'm not especially fond of coffeeshop/cafe AUs, nor soulmate AUs (in the sense that soulmates are the predestined, be all/end all for each other. anything the plays around or subverts this is all good, though!)
- AU's i'm especially fond of: magical realism; cyberpunk; heist/yakuza/mafia; urban fantasy; historical....i'm happy to read almost anything that isn't the aforementioned bullet point!
